Meet the Doctors

Dr. Stephen Agans, originally from the Northwest, has been living on the Coast since 2003. After attending Whitman College, he worked at the University of Washington doing research on bone growth and restructuring. He went to Tulane University School of Medicine and received an MD/MPH degree, focusing on healthcare management. His residency was in Emergency Medicine at LSUHSC in New Orleans, where he also did his fellowship in wound care and Hyperbarics.

Dr. Kathmann is from the New Orleans area and completed his undergraduate and Master’s degree at Loyola University and Tulane University respectively. He studied medicine in New Orleans at LSU Medical School and trained to be an Emergency Medicine Physician at LSU New Orleans. Dr. Kathmann went on to complete a Wound Care and Hyperbaric Fellowship at the country’s largest Hyperbaric Program. He began his career on staff at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport in 2018 and plans to continue his career on the Gulf Coast.

Dr. Nathan Gill is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He attended the University of North Texas in Denton originally for their jazz studies program, but eventually completed a B.S. in Biology. He attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri. After an internship in Columbus, Georgia, he completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He has worked at Gulfport Memorial since 2009 and has served as Wound Care Program Director for Select Specialty Hospital since 2015.
